Cartier collections to include in your request
Send details of your Tank, Santos, Ballon Bleu, Panthère, Baignoire or Pasha. If your collection is not listed, choose “Other / Not sure” in the form and include photographs.
The collection name is only a starting point. A Tank or Santos can come in different sizes, materials and configurations. Please include any reference information you already have so we can discuss your specific watch, rather than a similar-looking example.
How much is your Cartier watch worth?
A useful assessment is specific to the watch in front of us. There is no single resale percentage that applies to every Cartier.
- Identity and configuration: collection, reference, size, case material and movement type, where known.
- Condition: visible wear, damage, bracelet or strap condition, and whether the watch is running.
- Originality and service history: disclosed replacement parts, modifications and available service records.
- Included items: box, warranty papers, receipts and spare bracelet links.
- Market context: demand and comparable examples for the relevant reference and condition.
An advertised retail price is not the same as an offer to buy your watch. Listings can differ in condition, accessories and seller terms, so a similar photograph alone is not a reliable comparison.
Prepare your photographs
Use clear, unfiltered photographs in good light. Include the dial, the back of the case, both sides, the bracelet or strap, and the clasp. Add close-ups of visible damage and a photograph of any box or documents you want included in the assessment.
If a reference is difficult to read, send a close photograph rather than guessing. Do not open the case to find additional information. Share identifying details through the private appraisal process, not in public comments.

Questions before you sell
Can I sell a Cartier watch without the box and papers?
You can request an assessment without them. Tell us which accessories and documents are available. Missing packaging does not prevent an initial review, but authenticity, ownership and condition still need to be checked.
What if my watch is damaged or not running?
Describe the issue and include clear photographs. The condition needs to be reviewed individually; submitting a request does not guarantee that an offer will be made.
Can I begin online if I am not near either office?
Yes. Start by submitting photographs and details. If remote shipping is approved for your watch, a specialist will confirm the arrangements. Do not send the piece before receiving those instructions.
Do I need to decide before the watch is inspected?
An initial estimate is not a binding purchase offer. The final condition and written terms need to be reviewed before proceeding. If shipping is involved, ask about return arrangements and any costs before dispatch.
Are you an official Cartier service or boutique?
